Black Screen of Death. Anyone had a black screen of death on iPhone 14 (Plus/Pro/Pro Max) yet? I had one. The fix, as with older iPhones, (press volume up -> press volume down -> hold power until the logo appears) seems to work in most cases. According to some websites this should be a bug in iOS 16-16.0.2.
And I think the 8 Plus is the best iPhone for me in terms of price and size. Don't like the gestures of X and 11 lines. For my use, navigation on Instagram (don't post so much, so camera is not an issue), WhatsApp, Skeelo, Podcasts, uBook and banking for most, Netflix and YouTube a little during the night and a little music during work, I THINK
The device will be underwhelming and boring. The iPhone 8 body has been outdated since long back and it was barely acceptable in 2020, let alone again in 2022. This year the phone will be 5G capable and also more powerful but still, the chassis will make it underwhelming.

The 8 Plus is actually heavier, taller, and wider than the XR. The 8 Plus is only smaller in one dimension: it’s 0.8 mm thinner. So, the XR otherwise gets you a newer, more powerful phone with a larger screen in a smaller, lighter body.
The iPhone is absolutely amazing for people who can afford it and who don't tinker much. If you want a stable, long-term phone, get the iPhone. If you like tinkering a bit, want the extra camera features (of the S23U) or just in general like the Android experience, get the S23.
